From mid-April to November, the Takeyama Kurobe Alpine Route invites visitors from around the world to experience the stunning beauty of Japan’s Northern Alps.

Often referred to as the “Roof of Japan,” this route is celebrated for its breathtaking views and diverse attractions. In autumn, vibrant fall colors peak at the summit, creating a striking contrast with the lush greenery below. Despite its rugged terrain, the route offers a variety of transport options—including trains, buses, ropeways, and cable cars—making it accessible for all ages and activity levels.

Our tour features 3 nights in Nagoya, 2 nights in Matsumoto, and 1 night each in Toyama and Takayama. We'll enjoy abundant shopping opportunities, savoring delicious regional cuisine, and participating in 3 hands-on experiences. Highlights include visits to museums, a historic castle, a sake brewery, an open-air market, a wasabi farm, and a miso factory along with numerous other exciting activities. We’ll also explore the enchanting Gokayama, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its ancient thatched-roof farmhouses.

Round trip airfare via Japan Airlines from Honolulu.
Note: Airline baggage fees are additional and paid directly to the carrier.
7 nights of centrally located accommodations are included.
All sightseeing with a local English-speaking guide throughout the tour.
Admission fees included based on itinerary.
Inflight meals, breakfast daily at your hotel and 5 lunches.
All transportation via private charter bus.
All tour-related taxes included in the price.
Panda Travel® escorts throughout your tour.
Secure your reservation with a $150 per person deposit, refundable until June 26, 2026.
Final payment due by August 7, 2026. Package is non-refundable after this date.

We reserve the right to cancel the reservation(s) if the disability/impairment is unsuitable for the tour. You are also responsible for any costs and/or accommodations related to your disability/impairment, such as providing your own travel companion.

Please note:

A minimum of 16 participants is required for the tour to operate.
A valid passport is required of all U.S. citizens & must be valid at least 6 months from the return tour date. Non-U.S. passport holders must check with the Japanese Consulate to see if a visa is required.
Land tour costs are based on current currency conversion rates, which are subject to change.
Air ticket fare is guaranteed, but taxes, fees and fuel surcharges are subject to change until tickets are issued.
